Although the outer layer is leather the fleece (inside) seems synthetic and sheds. The black socks I wore was covered in white lint. This didn't happen with real fleece. I had other booties Old friend slippers and UGGS made with real lamb skin fleece and they did not shed like this. I think the "fleece" is polyester. The product is not authentic to its description. I was very disappointed.
